This isn't my first TTT Trinidad but it has been a while since I had one.
The choice of wrapper for these depends on if you get the EMS or Maduro wrapper. Maduros will have a Connecticut Broadleaf where the EMS will have an Ecuadorian Sumatran sun-grown wrapper.
The burn and draw is near perfect and I can definitely taste the Peruvian long-filler tobaccos that I love so much in a cigar. This libeto produces a bountiful amount of smoke and is full bodied enough for after supper. It really builds nicely for a long finish.
I got a 4 pack of these from our new sponsor TNT and actually saved money over the box price believe it or not. I'm very pleased.
I give these a 9 on the tac-o-meter.
TTT's are overpriced to be sure but I believe they are one of the top smokes to be had anywhere. The robustos are excellent. I have smoked more belicosos and to me they are one of the best cigars on the planet. I have had both wrappers and prefer the Ecuadorian Sumatran. It's more complex. Enjoy Tac!!
ReplyDeleteI have had several of these cigars, and I like both the EMS and Maduro versions. These are not something I would recommend to a novice smoker, as both versions are definitely full-bodied. The first time I had the maduro, it tasted like a tootsie roll, but none since then have held that flavor. Nonetheless, these are both good cigars. I agree that they are overpriced, so I don't smoke them regularly.
