An Old Friend is Going Away

In late April 2007 my local tobacconist, Titan Cigars[/color:dada5c0bd2], hosted Miami Cigar & Company's Nestor Miranda for a cigar rolling event. Miami Cigar & Company[/color:dada5c0bd2] is the distributor of La Aurora products within the United States.

The La Aurora Cien Anos is a special edition cigar, created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of La Aurora founded in 1903. This highly rated Dominican puro is one of the tastiest in the La Aurora line as evidenced by the difficulty one has in locating them. Well, that is about to get much worse. Nestor informed me the last of the La Aurora Cien Anos have now been distributed. There will be no more.

Make no mistake, these are expensive cigars, but if you haven't had a chance to try one, it is one of those special cigar experiences. For those who love em', stock up if you can find em'.

  1. That's such a shame! I love La Aurora, and have been dying to try these. Unfortunately I never got the chance to try one. I'll have to pick some up if I see them anywhere.

Going the way of the Cupido I guess.

  2. I suppose the only solice we can take is that La Aurora continues to make wonderful cigars. I'm sure another winner will emerge in place of the Cien Anos! :)

  3. That is a real drag. For one reason or another that is a cigar I have missed and been told by many that its a fantastic smoke. A rare one. I will keep my eyes open.

  4. For anyone that lives in Atlanta I was at Ash Cigar today and saw that they have the 100 Annos torpedos for sale. Pretty decently priced too.
