Onyx Reserve alternatives

Hi new to the forum, did a search but came up empty handed. I have tried many cigars over the years and my personal favorite is still one of the first I have tried, Onyx Reserves. My wife just delivered a new baby on Monday and I wanted to order a box of something to hand out / smoke with the guys, I am looking for something new (its to celebrate a new baby after all) but want to get something I am going to like as much or even more than my old stand by, you guys have any recommendations?

  1. I also like onyx reserve for its strong yet smooth taste. You might try the following...

Gran habano #5 corojo (my favorite)

    Avo Domaine

    anything by rocky patel

    immenso by perdomo

or for something different, try the natural line from drew estates.

  2. Being a Maduro fan I'll bet you'll like El Mejoe Espresso. Great tasting smokes for a low price.

  3. I went ahead and ordered a box of Padron 2000's at the suggestion of the guys in Thursdays IRC chat. I also got them from LACigars for a "smokin" deal compared to the other places I looked, the"member" discount is nice...

  4. I received my box of Padron 2000's everything with the order was correct and the cigars were excellent. A bold smoke with complex, ever changing flavors and a beautiful oily wrapper. I recommend everyone try one for themselves.

  5. Steck - they are excellent cigars and most of the guys here love Padrons
except Tac he is nuts over them. LA cigar has the best member prices on many cigars that I enjoy. Famous is good on some brands as well.
