Frank is one of 6 members of Cigar Aficionado magazine hall of fame and has his own line of cigars.
I am saddened at the passing of Frank Llaneza; we have truly lost THE icon and Grandmaster of them all.
ReplyDeleteFrank was truly the embodiment of the ?true? good-life: Honesty, integrity, hard-work, and humility.
I am tired tonight, but I think I am going to fire up one of his namesake cigars- the Flor De Llaneza in his honor tonight.
I encourage everyone to leave thoughts, and to celebrate Mr. Llaneza?s life and contributions to OUR LIVES.
But for men like Mr. Llaneza, we would not be enjoying the quality of cigars that we are so used to today.
While I am sorry that he is gone, I hope that he passed gently.
I wish to send my heartfelt condolences to his family; Frank Llaneza will never be forgotten; he is an example to all of ?what to be like?.
Sincerely-
WT
His blends have been my favorite cigars consistantly over the years. A true master cigar maker in every sense of the word. A man whose time was cut short by tobacco. HA!! 90 years old and he probably has smoked cigars since he was a teenager.
ReplyDeleteTobacco is gonna kill you...NOT! Frank Llaneza touched, burned, smoked, and was exposed to tobacco for a lifetime... he is/was not the only one.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that these all of the tobacco men live to ripe old ages.
Edgar Cullman, Juan Bermejo... all of the figurative tobacco icons of the cigar industry are just the few examples; there are many more.
I think that hard work ,and the balance of pleasure and family and values are the key to their longevity.
Medical evidence shows that some tobacco is healthy to the brain, and the cardiovascular system... this is not about cigarettes, though fewer thast five cigarettes a day is really not a medical problem according to Dr. Dean Edell.
Frank Llaneza's life is what everyone can aspire to.
